Neon Holidays at Mother Road Market
A Colorful New Tulsa Holiday Tradition
This past December Mother Road Market launched Neon Holidays! Paying homage to the neon lights of Route 66 and celebrating the creation of the Tulsa Market District, Neon Holidays is a beautiful display of light and texture throughout the Mother Road Market campus.
This first annual Neon Holidays was created with work from local designers, builders, and lighting experts with the vision to give Tulsans a completely unique holiday celebration that we will build on year after year. Breaking out of the traditional holiday box, the creative team drew inspiration from our location on historic Route 66, the newly created Tulsa Market District, and holiday celebrations from around the world to create the winter wonderland that lights up the market December 2020 - January 2021.
The neon icicle entrances, neon trees, and brightly-colored nutcrackers that decorate the market were designed and built by local creatives, Jordan Williams and Steven Barlass. The neon installations outside of the market were engineered and installed by Eric Strickland.
Guests can enjoy safe, no-contact photo opportunities all over the market while they eat on the enclosed patio, sip cocktails from the WEL Bar, and shop everything local from the retailers inside Mother Road Market and Shops at Mother Road Market.
Neon Holidays will be on display through the end of January 2021.
